Sulphur on Sunday 8/13? Any reports?

Just wondering how it was...? The Evanston wind record showed some wind in the 20's. Did ya get some?

Also, a big thanks to Sarah for organizing this fun event!

Sorry I wasn't able to camp and be there Sunday, but I really enjoyed seeing all the familiar (and new) faces on Saturday, as well as the 15 or so sails out on the water!

First of all... Ditto, thank you Sarah for organizing this event every year... It is always fun to see how Utah sailors are doin' it! ;)

Although the wind ended up being marginal compared to what we'd LOVE to see, it's a fun weekend up there... There always seems to be one thing that happens the night of the campfire that needs repeating... This year it was after most everybody had gone to bed, Ira with a one liner that made me practically do a spit take! No, I did do a spit take, and I wasn't even drinking anything!

A family from Colorado was there whose family owns the last windsurfing shop in the Intermountain west apparently... One of those teenagers there was expressing quite a bit about life in general and venting some random frustrations about things from life to windsurfing... and he mentioned that his parents were divorced when he was 6 and a few of us chimed in about how our parents were divorced when we were 4 or so. We were trying to help a little on perspective...

After a moment of silence Ira said:

"My parents didn't GET married till I was four!!!"

Of course, he was kidding, I think!? ;)

By the way, Dimitri, only the 9.0's + saw moments of planing on sunday... Saturday was fun though... Had a couple hours planing...

The sad thing is the kid was right though.
I am 30+ and am still very very angry at my parents for divorcing when I was 9 :(
Most parents don't realize how damageful it can be and they all have "great stories of divorces that went so well"... Yeah right.!

Anyway.. where are we sailing tomorrow? ;)
