9/25 & 9/26 Deer Creek Island/Sail Boat Beach 16M Waroo

9/25 - Deer Creek Island - 16m Waroo - 133 Best Float- Arrived at 5:30 - Road for about 30-45 minutes powered - Steady Wind

9/26 - Deer Creek Sail Boat Beach - 16m Waroo - 133 Best Float - Sail Boat Beach to Deer Creek Island Downwinder - Arrived at 4:00. Launch is good , with grass to setup on. A bit wind shadowed near the grass. The water is cold (full wet or dry suit)- Sail boat beach is at Deer Creek State Park at the South Launch near the dam. Google Earth it. The reach is small, but the wind is usually stronger here from what the windsurfers were telling me. Though, the wind yesterday was stronger right before the Deer Creek Island resort bay. The downwinder was fun for me, but not as much for Jake, as I launched when the wind came up a bit more. I was able to keep on plane the whole way. I was able to get some huge boosts when the wind hit. The two wind readers to watch for strong south winds are the Deer Creek Predictor (which is located at Sundance at the top lift) and the Deer Creek Damn Chute reader which is located a few hundred feet about the damn and to the west. Check the satellite and topo links on the left of the reader info. It gives the exact gps location (and aerial) + elevation of every reader. All in all a good ride as it only takes me about 20minutes to the lake. :D Jake and Billy also rode.
