Deer Creek, Island Beach, Thursday 10.12

As per Tom and George, a beauty at DC again today. It sure is nice that it's been filling in all the way to Island Beach. It takes an extra half hour to get there but faith pays off.

Tom said it was the most fun he'd had in a long time and I agree. The push was again pretty smooth, not perfect, but pretty darn smooth. It was enough for his 7.5 to get plenty of rides and even generated a nice little swell, emphasis on little. No real holes, no spanking puffs. Still shortie weather but everytime I walk in it's a surprise how much warmth the water has maintained.

Perfect fall day wind machine. I didn't even really think about leaving the house until 2pm. On the water just after 3 and sailed, non-stop, until after 5. If Tom hadn't gone in I'd probably still be there. Glad he was there to sail with. I could do that again, maybe Sunday if it plays out right.

Better think about getting up there in the next little while because it will probably be over in the next two weeks. November never seems to work but October is about as dependable as it comes.
