Arrived at noon and rigged 8.3 as it didn't look too windy and there wasn't anyone to ask. (Later learned from Jim the wind on the beach is usually less than the wind out on the lake.) After I rigged others arrived and rigged 6.8 - 7.0. Rode fully powered in the lulls to op'd in the gusts. After almost 2 hrs I came in to rig smaller as I was rapidly tiring from uphauling every turn. (Note to self: don't rig the 8.3 again until you can make almost all your jibes.) Rigged 7.1, got one ride and the wind died as a large cloud drifted by. As soon as Judy left the wind picked up and Jim headed out followed by myself and one other sailor. Rode for a couple more gusty hours until I had to head into work.
