Arrived at Pelican Bay around 2pm. I had a few planing rides on my 9.0 for an hour when the north wind really came in. Switched to a 6.0 and was fully powered for the rest of the day. I think I could have sailed a 5.0 in that wind, but wasn't going to re-rig while there was a GREAT wind blowing. I sailed with Ben across the lake twice. This was perhaps my favorite session of the summer. Thanks go to whoever built that nice grassy launch in the west side of Utah Lake. I don't think I'll ever sail at Lindon again.

Definitely the best session of the year for me. I was on Dana's 7.0 Sailworks Retro and a ~85 liter Fanatic board. I should have gone down to a 6.0, but the wind was too good to go in. The Retro handled the power really well. There were a couple times that I felt overpowered, but not enough to come in!
Sailing to the other side was amazing. On the other side the wind died and it took a while to get back to the windline. You gotta the love the North West shore of the lake, except for the port ramps. I need to figure those things out!
