So I am new to Utah but have been kiting in many locations for years. I was bored today and decided to South Sandy Beach to check out the site and maybe get a little riding in. I know I hit the right spot but wow was I surprised. First, there seemed to be nowhere to rig much less launch. Is this because the water level is so high after a big snow year? Also I was a little surprised at how much garbage there was around. I am hopeful, I guess, that it is because there have not been many kiters around yet this spring and the area gets some use by other, less discriminating, folks during the winter.
I have been to some tough launches in my day but this seemed...well...really tough. Please I don't want to sound like a snob here at all. I need help. Can someone dial me in? I would love to help clean up the site or at least get a clue as to how the launch works.
It wasn't windy by the way (sat there for a couple hrs)
Thanks in advance for advice.
