Utah Sportsguide Doing Kiting Article, Need 300dpi pics

Postby RickHeninger » Thu May 29, 2008 3:26 pm

Hey Kiter Photogs...

Jill Adler is doing an article on Water Kiting in Utah... She needs some 300dpi photos of some great Kiting shots... I think they want some vertical stuff for the cover. I offered some 1980's windsurfing pics for the cover but she was "alright". j/k...

Email her some thumbnails as long as the original is 300 DPI or greater... It is for the cover, so make sure if there's a face shot, that whoever the Kiter is has their makeup on right and that there's no mascera smudges!

Her email is mtnmedia@xmission.com

Please send ASAP... Darryl I sent her your pics from Utah Lake with the snow on the mtns. Well, I sent her to your Picasaweb link but I don't know if you have those pics in RAW or at least 300 dpi.

Hey Guys,
They ought to be willing to pay about $100 to $150 per shot and about double that for the cover shot. That should be the going rate. I don't actually know what you can squeeze out of them. They are pretty cheap.

Hey McClain,

I know you are High End Professional Photographer. You have some SICK photos on your website. Let's go do a photo shoot. I know a lot beautiful places in Utah where we could get awesome kiteboarding pics for the Magazines. There magazines out there that want to do an article about Utah kiteboarding/snowkiting. They will pay you for photo. Let me know. I will get the Utah Kite Crew and editor magazines together.
