Cool video, best underwater kayak footage I have seen. Squirt boating has been around for a while(at least 25-30 years) and it opened the door to todays playboating. The ability of a low volume boat to "sink" has not only resulted in moves under water but on the surface too. Too bad those glass boats are so uncomfortable. The biggest advancement in playboating lately is the fit of the plastic play boats. you can actually sit in one for hours at a time and feel good.

There are several rivers draining off the skyline plateau that offer great paddling. Cottonwood creek and North fork Huntington creek are stellar runs but they only flow in the spring after a good snow year. Most of the runs are both Class IV-V in difficulty, not for the beginner.
