When my Manta is flying on a starboard tack, the kite always wants to fly upward and I can't lock it in position and go. Why would that happen?

Twisted bridle perhaps the frount and out side lines are crossed?
Unequal line length?
massive polaraty in one wing tip and it want to index north? (just a guess!)
If you see me bring it over I am happy to look at it.

Ralph,
The usual culprit is a small knot or tangle in the bridle. Billy can probably find it in no time.
