I wonder how many guys/gals are SUP ing in Utah. Some sailors can't fathom paddling around when they could be sailing in 9 lovely knots of gusty, holey Utah wind....others swear SUP changes their lives, makes them mellow, challenges their bodies to something totally new. Then again it ain't cheap, paddle alone is about $250, the board another $800. The Outdoor Retailer summer show was an SUP fest, no one wanted the canoes at Pineview demo day. The worldwide reaction Clay Feeter is getting is off the charts. Like surfin' hit in 1964, the vendors are happy campers.
Guess it wouldn't hurt to ask Wagstaff's to rent one at Deer Creek, can't be a big money maker, but no maintenance, might keep one stink potting wave runner off the water
