Skyline Forcast/report?

Postby danyak101 » Mon Dec 19, 2005 2:33 pm

Has anyone been up there lately? I heard there was some new snow. Planning a trip down from Hood River but want to make sure its good conditions first. I am thinking right after XMas, maybe? ANy reports would be appreciated.

Dan G

PS:
We got 6 inches in town today. A session is in the works for this afternoon of we can find a place with coverage and breeze. It just started raining though so it could be some seriously Variable conditions.
Merry XMas to all my Utah brothas/sistas. May all your Holiday sessions be full of face shots and boosty airs:)

Dan,

I was up there on Saturday. The base is very good, but it had not snowed up there in awhile. However, we had a storm that has been depositing snow all along the Wasatch that began on Sunday and should end tommorow. It is not a huge storm, but it should be enough to freshen up Skyline for your visit. Do you know where to check on the UWA website for forecast information for Skyline?

By the way, I was inspired by the article in Bike Magazine "Children of the Fern" that you were instrumental in putting together. Last summer, my wife and I rode the Lewis River Trail and Ape Canyon/Plains of Desolation rides. Both trails were off the chart and added some variety to our trip rather than just kite boarding every day.

Nice Kenny,
thanks for the info and the kudos on the Children O the Fren article. let me know next time your up here I have some new favorites that are just as stimulating. We just got 6 inches followed up by .5 inch of ice. Its a mess to say the least. Trying to get snowkite sessions in but the wind hasn't been co-operating??? Oh well I have found new ways to satisfy the adrenal gland-Indoor MX Track in P-Town.
