Best place to land kite-- near UT county?

I just got a mountain board and am looking for the nearest place with fairly decent wind around here. I am in Northern Utah county.

I used to kite on and near the Point of the mountain. The South side of the point gets morning south wind and evening north wind. If gliders are out you may not be able to kite. But with the north wind the south side is a great windy empty place. Its off road conditions, so pad up.

Not sure what access is these days, I haven't kited there since the new road and houses went in.

On the Draper side there are a few grass parks near the point. One is past Redwood, heading towards Herriman. The others are scattered at the POM foothills in Draper.

There are a few fields I've flown kites in around Provo, but they are small and not always the best wind. Look for any football/soccer field, and just chase out the soccer moms.

BTW - the better riding is in west valley at the soccer complex parks..they are by airport #2 and get clean north wind off the GSL.
