Just wanted to shout out a friendly reminder to go through you kite
equipment this season as we transition from kiting on water, to
hucking ourselves off the biggest hilltops we can find. As I was going through my 17m Waroo,
I found plenty of tiny holes in the canopy plus some very disturbing bridle damage that I have overlooked
for who knows how long. In the picture these small bridle attachments were rubbed thin from occasional ground contact on wingtips
one of which snapped as I was removing it from the kite. Failure to check these would have surely ended a nice day
of kiting or, much worse! I know for a fact that most kiters rarely check their gear until something breaks,
so do yourself a favor and inspect it all no matter what brand or year of kite you fly.
