Feb 26 Strawbs River Full Moon 530 pm

Kenny and Sal had a great frickin idea - Full Moon Kite session. I propose Strawberry. Sun sets at 6:12. Should be dark by 7. Winds are currently forecast to go 16mph NW until 10pm. Kite til about 830?

Launch at 530? I would looooove to do the View area, but I think night time would be best at the River given snow coverage and ability to get back to cars if something goes wrong. What could possibly go wrong though? :|| Also the wind direction looks favorable. Bring your warm stuff. I'll bring Vaseline...for your face!!!

Post here with ideas and if you're going!

I won't poo poo a Skyline trip, but I don't think i can make it there.

Moon rise is just after 7. Sunset is at 6:15, so you should be able to ride from the sunset, twilight, right into the moon rising. Sounds cool!

Take a camera (still or otherwise), and get pictures. This kind of oppertunity is extremely rare.
