Thank You to all who came to the meeting if you were able.

I want to say Thank You to everybody who came to the meeting last night. We are grateful for your involvement. We were given the 100+ deal from Brewvies, although they slid us a few... I want to Thank You for enduring the meeting that had some extra fireworks. This is a first, if it was your first time. I guess all organizations have growing pains. It was definitely more fireworks than were expected. Sorry if I was moving fast and didn't give enough time to clarify things.

For what it's worth... I think that the UWA is a great organization with its strength in numbers... Kiteboarders and Windsurfers work together for the greater good. Any thing PROPOSED in the meeting last night was to build upon our strengths. To embrace both what we have in common and to address our individual needs. To hopefully make a greater, more effective organization.

I want to Thank Pat for the impromptu Bluegrass and Dave for the jacket! Both brought a great spirit back to the meeting... Thank You to Dakine, Trident Sports, Big Winds, Marty, Bucky for the Swag!!! Thanks to Peter Miller for the plaques that he does such a great job on. Thanks to those who sumbitted videos. Thank You to Brewvies for being such a great host. They paid for our coupons this year. The meeting was definitely not a boring one...

Thanks to all the officers and volunteers for everything you do to help out.

Also, we were not able to discuss the Swap meet which we are looking at having with the Black Diamond swap around the middle of may. We will post that in the next few days.
The Utah Summer Games... The New Kite Board has asked Peter Miller to help with that. Call Marty et. al.
Sulphur Creek... Sarah Ranes will be reserving Sulphur Creek in August as usual...
Post if I missed something.

I am going to be stepping down from my post. I am going on 7 or 8 years here. Although I love to serve the UWA, I think it is good for an organization to shake things up a bit. I have become involved with an organization volunteering that is taking more of my time than I expected and I don't want to dilute my time too much. Plus there are reasons term limits. So, over the next couple weeks we will be having a few different poll type/thread based votes. And we will be filling the UWA Chair position

See you on the water or snow...

Thank You, Rick heninger
