Water temps?

Postby mike loeser » Thu Apr 05, 2007 9:15 pm

For the warm blooded out there, could someone post what the water is like at Rush and Utah Lake. I am hoping that a shorty wet suit will cut it sooner than later, so I can take advantage of this good wind. Are you guys still riding in full suits? Sounded like Sal was out in a shorty a couple of weeks back. I would think Rush is much warmer than Utah Lake right now. The latest water temp I could find at Utah lake was like 48 degrees, which I can't imagine being very accurate. Any help?

i was at rush last night. the air temp was nice. got a bit cold standing in the wind after getting wet, but a full suit was quite adequate. i'm sure if you get there and the air temps are in teh high 60's a shorty woudl be fine. i didn't wear booties and didn't ever feel like i needed them.

Rush is fine on the warmer days.

Utah lake is still a bit cold, I was out with booties and gloves and was it really nice. Came in, went back out w/o gloves took 2 taks and cried for my gloves back from Jesse on the beach.

Hope it helps! -------Stokes
