Where to Ride 5/18

More South wind. Grantsville looks solid this AM in the 5.0 range.
Probably will also be planable PM, but you'll likely have to rig a bigger sail.

DC looks good starting around noon. Looks like 6.5 up there.

Sulfur looking planable, but with 7.5 sails, might be some rain up there.

Rush looking windy for Kiters all day, maybe even getting into the 9M
range. The typical mid-afternoon lull about 2 PM, but then ramping up
again. Watch for dangerous thunder bumpers in the PM with possible
strong gusts.

Tomorrow and Sunday looking similar with even stronger winds on Sunday.

If you're going out to Rush or Grants check this: 21st South freeway (Highway 201) is closed after Magna. Kennecott is
doing some overhead pipe removal, and the road is closed in both
directions until Sunday night.

** AVOID 5600 WEST!!! **
It's one lane each direction and promises to be a major delay.

If you are coming from the SL valley, take I-15, I-215 or (if you
dare) Bangerter Highway all the way north to I-80 west bound, like you
are headed to the Airport. Then just continue westward, and you'll get
to the Tooele turnoff.
