Hot weather and Kites

Postby Marty Lowe » Tue Jul 05, 2005 11:26 am

Just a friendly, and hopefully helpful, couple of tips
about the hot weather and bladder kites......

#1-If you keep your kite in your car in the heat of summer
there is a risk of the glue between the nipple and the bladder
getting soft, and a leak is possible.

This can also happen to dark colored, main bladder (Slingshot) kites
if left on the beach to long.

#2-If you keep the plug in the nipple, in the heat
it may streach the nipple, and a leak is possible.

if this happens,
put a tie wrap around the nipple, without the plug in,
and leave for some time.
It should tighten up the nipple.

The info above is from kiteforum.com

P.S. Any update on ULSSB beach access?
Does small beach, = large crowds of non kiters?
