k2 cinch cts bindings

On my way to Skyline a few weeks back and upon arrival my toe strap was gone off of one binding. The board was strapped to the top of the car so I am guessing it flew off. Anyway after trying to buy a replacement part at the point of purchase. He took my info and said," we will get back with ya". Then I found a form on a K2 website for replacement parts. Filled it out and thought good this will work. Three days later and no response. I find the phone number for K2 and give them a call after the long menu I finally get to a real voice, then transferred to someone's voice mail. I leave all info and then wait. It has been over 6 days and still no response not even an acknowledgement of them hearing of my problem.
Wanting to go boarding this weekend I figured I would have to go get tough with the kid at the Sports Chalet. After hearing from him that he will get back to me on Monday I have to say no way! I need the part now get me a manager. He got the drift and after a brief talk with his manager they come through and give me the part off of the display binding.
Burton bindings might have been a better choice. Customer service goes a long way. I will still shop at Sports Chalet but will take the vendors customer service into account before choosing their product. I cant say for sure if it was a defect in there product or just their service. Sorry about the long RANT.
