Snowkite Utah Lake?

Saw this on KSL:

If you can run on it, can you kite on it? I'd feel much safer with a kite than on foot. Website says the lake's ice is 6" thick, but that was on Jan 3. Should be much thicker after two weeks of sub freezing temps. Might have to try it out just for the experience.

Kited on the north end of UL about 2 weeks ago. We stayed near the edge where if it did break it would be shallow water. Seemed pretty solid. Pretty fun going fast. I hit 41 mph. Wear a helmet. I posted my track on my Facebook wall.
