What happened to all the wind lovers...

The wind has been great for afternoon sessions all week at SSB but I haven't seen many posts of anyone gettin' any. Am I smokin' crack or did the wind actually blow almost everyday this week at SSB. What's up... Later...

It was a good week for North wind at Utah Lake, Derik. Put down the pipe. I tried Lindon on Monday and met Mike there. We squeezed out a few downwind runs. Heard it was better at SSB. So, with the wind starting around 3 or so again on Tuesday I went to SSB for much better wind. First time there this year for me. It was a surprise to see that the beach was basically gone. Not much room for a launch, and it is going to keep rising. I had only an hour or so Tuesday once I got out on the water. Fully powered on my Arc 1120 with good jumps. Two kites were out while I rigged, and then they came in as I went out. One windsurfer and I shared the whole area. Others were going out as I came in. I was busy Wednesday but heard that Brad made it out late for a few rides with several others. Appeared that Tuesday had the best wind. I noticed it still blowing in Orem even after dark - well filled in around the valley.

It was an awesome week. Here is how it went for me.

Sat. Rode 16m^2 kite with Ryan, Jake, Spencer.
Sun. Got skunked with a few others.
Mon. Rode 20m^2 & 16m^2. You were there. Tore my 20m^2 kite.
Tues. Rode powered up on my 16m^2.
Wed. I missed it but sounded like others didn't.
Thurs. Too light at first for a 16m^2 kite but picked up around 8pm. I didn't rig because I had to run at 8:45.
