What are the pros and cons of open cell (Ozone) vs closed cell(Flysurfer) foils as snowkites?

Good question - the key difference is that a closed-cell kite is water relaunchable while with an open-cell kite it is usually game over if you drop the kite in the water. So, I tell people that if you are only planning on flying the kite on the snow and land, buy an open-cell kite. If you want to use the kite for both snow, land, and water you need to look at an closed-cell foil or an inflatable kite.
