A SPECIAL THANKS - Mitch

To all

I would like to thank everyone for your love and condolences. I feel I can speak from my heart on this matter. This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.

I had the great honor and privilege to have been part of Mitch’s life for the past 20 years. Mitch and I learned to windsurf together ( at Rush Lake) in the 80’s, skied countless power days at the Bird, road dirt bikes, mountain bikes, camped, etc. We laughed together and cried together. Now I cry for the loss of a great friend, and unlikely to forget what a truly great individual he was.

Mitch’s true essence was driven by his great love for life. He always put his best foot forward and did it better than most of us. He offered boundless energy and compassion for all that crossed his path. He was always the first one to help others and never asked for anything in return. This is what made Mitch, Mitch.

This news comes to me at a time of great challenges. Now I must look to Mitch for guidance. Words that help me: Live life to the fullest, Be true to your convictions, Treat all with mutual respect, and always start with a smile and end with a good laugh. It’s the way Mitch would have wanted it.

As I look to the future there will always be something missing, growing old with a good friend and reminiscing about all the good times. For now, all I have are the great memories until we connect again.

Today I’ve lost a friend, a brother my soul mate. I cannot put into words all that is worthy of Mitchell. But as I read these posts I can see how he has touched many of you with a smile, inspiration or friendship.

I would also like more information about the snapshakle Mitch was using, and if he in fact was riding with a non-releasable chicken loop. So if anyone has more information please e-mail me at Natcho_ho@yahoo.com all correspondence are welcome.
