Remembering Mitch

Postby tomvayda » Thu Jun 30, 2005 1:20 pm

My sadness is deep. It is hard to lose a long-time friend. But he is still with us in our hearts and memories.
We need to remember the good parts of Mitch's life. Mitch lived 10 times as much as any of us will. Everyone that knew him remembers that he was a kind, brave, friendly, helpful, stoked, go-for-it, one-of-a-kind man.
We all love(d) him.
Mitch and Chris were the greatest couple. I have really enjoyed my time with them both.
I rode with Mitch the day before and was 20 minutes from Rush when it happened. A week before, Chris was telling me how to deal with my injuries using natural remedies.
This just makes you think how fleeting life is, and to get it while you can and BE SAFE. We can best honor Mitch by cherishing his memory, and remembering his accident so that his sacrifice won't be wasted.
I saw a beautiful rainbow on the way home from Rush that night. I know it was Mitch.
We will all join him soon enough.
Until then,
Best wishes and peace to all!

P.S. Chris; my condolences to you and your family, and know that we are all there for you,
Love

Tom V.
