I wanted to bring up the subject of the safety issues of a seat harness. I feel that a lot has been said about Mitch's setup and safety issues concerning his snap shackle. Not much has been said about the fact that after the second lofting and loosing consciousness that his feet went straight up in the air leaving him in a bad way. I feel that this was a major factor and wonder if a waist harness would have had a safer outcome. I am getting ready to buy new gear and wanted a seat harness but am not sure after what has happened. I might be sticking with the soar ribs from the waist harness. Anyway I wanted to know if any others also saw this as a major safety issue and hope to get any input. Thanks!
I have a Dakine integrated waist harness and vest. I really like it because the hook doesn't ride up like a standard waist harness. The impact vest is also a nice safety precaution.
