Return of the BMW!

Pete the BMW guy has decided to place himself back on the most wanted list. Ive grown to like the guy the past month or so because he shares some of the same pasion for kiting as I do. As I have progressed this year I decided to pass on my experience of the drift launch. Im not sure if I explained it wrong, but the end result was him doing it the complete wrong way, contrary to any safe practice with a kite. As I tried to assist him with his tangled lines, he decided to start over. "When your ready I'll come back in and reluanch you from the water" I said. Next thing I see is the man hot luanching the kite off the beach which ended with the usual body drag up on land. I'd like to see the guy kite and progress but lets help him do it the safe way whatever it takes. One question though, how many near misses does it take to get the picture, or is it going to take the "real thing" to understand the true power of these kites........

Pete went to Lincoln on Thursday, October 9th. He was saved from another kitemare by a guy from california named Grant. He said that Pete tried to launch a 13M Waroo in wind that would have justified a 9M for a guy his size. He was dragged a ways before Grant grabbed ahold of him. Grant told me that Pete didn't have a leash on his kite and had no idea how to land it in overpowered conditions. Grant had to attach his leash to Pete's kite.

It is a miracle that Pete has not seriously injured himself. Pete, for the love of all that's holy will you please take a lesson!
