Pineview East Winds

Has anyone ever tried out Pineview on an East wind?

I have noticed that many mornings a drainage wind lasts until maybe 10 am

The pineview readings on Iwindsurf, are actually in Weber Canyon,
at the power plant, it is only useful to see if the wind has changed direction.
The wind strength seems irrelevant.

Pineview is up Ogden Canyon.
There isn't a meter close to the water.

The east winds are out of the canyon,
but very light in the canyon, and at the reservoir.

You can snowkite on the ice on light easerlies,
by the Dam keeper's house.

well that sucks for pineview then.

maybe I should send an email to iwindsurf to rename the pineview meter to "potential wind lake location at the mouth of weber canyon."

I figured someone up there would know what was going on with that.

When I was in communication with Iwindsurf years ago,
was when this meter just came online.
We were pretty excited.
I couldn't think of a name that would apply except Pineview,
I take the blame for the incorrect naming of this meter.

Even though it can blow a lot of days when Craig says no wind,
PV has sucked this fall.

We need snow, so we can go find the wind,
instead of waiting for the wind to find water.

Its is a pretty good breeze most mornings, similar to the winter breeze. I have a theory that kenny could kite the east wind near the spillway, but he hasnt came out and tested that theory yet. I dont know where he would launch anyways. Sometimes there are sail boats putting around with the east until it shifts to west. but ya, pineview wasnt too kind this fall.
