American Fork Harbor

Well... I don't windsurf or kiteboard. But I wanted to know what kind of water I'd be surfing in eventually. To know how much chocolate syrup was in the milk would have excited me!

After printing out directions from the internet (I felt like a dork because this place is 6 miles away and I still got lost), I made my way after work. As soon as I turned the corner I was met with a large concrete barrier and a tall fence. So I parked where everyone else parked (about 10 other cars with no signs of people anywhere). There were a few trails, which I assumed led to the lake and from what I could see, nice beaches where people were hanging out and most likely littering while they did so!

I started on one of the trails but eventually decided not go on any farther because I saw a very large man up ahead and I didn't feel very safe being alone in a heavily vegetated area where a crazy man might be hiding in the bushes just waiting to eat me and my car.

So what's the deal with this area? Has anyone had any success here at all?
