Complete Achilles Tendon Rupture

Postby CPratt » Fri Jul 31, 2009 3:27 pm

So, in looking to drop some of my 180 lb mass (to help with kiting of course) I joined a soccer team and in Wednesday nights game I started a sprint and felt and heard a pop in the back of my leg. Turns out my Achilles Tendon completely snapped. I am scheduled for surgery next week in hopes to get everything back in order in time for the winter snowkite season.

So, has anyone had this happen to them? I have heard a read that the recovery is 3-6 months and not too pleasant (not that I am confortable now). Any info or advice would be nice.

Thanks,

Chad
