SF canyon pushing hard

Postby DeanDavis » Fri Sep 09, 2005 4:11 pm

For those of you who have looked at PVU you can see a strong SE flow. That is SF canyon and today seems like on of those days that the canyon has enough push (it has been about 30+ all day) behind it to make it out to the lake. If I could I would head out to SSB and ride but I can't. If you go be careful since Utah lake is a big lake when you think about how much water there is between you and the other side of the lake with the offshore winds.

SF Let's see, it that San Francisco or Salt Flats ... or maybe SulFur or So Fine? I wish everyone would quit using abbr. with out first defining them.

Let's see
Dean say's PVU
Most would know that is airport readings for Provo.
So it must be down south a little
Dean say's "SF canyon"
Is it San Francisco canyon?
or maybe Salt Flats Canyon
or newly discovered SulFer canyon.

We asked Dean to post his observations from Spanish Fork
because he lives there, and can give him some insight.

By the way it's Sulphur, not sulfur

My point is: We don't all know where this fellow lives or that PVU is the weather recording for Provo. Can't we make it easier for the less knowledgeable? Or is this site just for little cliques of the "locally informed?" I hope not. There are too many inexperienced "newbies" trying to learn from this site.

It works both ways.
