Thin Ice!!!

I was told by someone at work that one of the electricians we work around, went ice fishin at DC.
After drillin the first hole in 8" of ice, he moved to a new spot and fell though the ice!
luckily he was able to pull himself out.I
I hit some deep slush on the edge of Strawberry last Sunday right up next to the steep hill just east of CC launch.
Just sayin. Keep your speed up!

There are definitely areas of open water on DC near the river mouth. Those who choose to kite on the ice should seriously consider carrying of self-rescue equipment:
