kite soaring?

Soaring with regular Kitesurfing equipment on a high dune in Australia. No Trick! No Fake! Just a lot of Wind! Used Kites Fone Bandit Dos 9m and North Rebel 2010 9m. Don`t try this at home, unless you are a paraglider!

anyone up for a trip to sand mountain or little sahara? Show those redneck banshee's what a dune is for... :oo ;))

the tribute at the end of a video is a clue, I guess, to the level of risks involved.

I do not condone, support, or practice this. But I must admit it might be fun to watch someone who knows what they are doing.

This guy breaks the launch near fixed objects rule, but hey, while you are ignoring safety may as well...

You can probably do that at the ridges in Strawberry and Skyline if the wind direction is right and the wind is strong enough. Why on earth do they do it without helmet and impact vest is beyond me. Paraglider can do a much better job at gliding than a kite. They make paraglide for a purpose. ;))

Hmmm snow can be as hard as sand or rocks.

Kite gliding makes little sense to me. Its like ignoring history and taking on all the risks of hangliding, yet with equipment not built for the task. 70% of hangliders died in the first decade of that sport (70's). We are only one decade into kiting, maybe we should examine our heads or look at history, or at least beef up the gear we fly, all of its made in an Asian country hundreds of miles from home... would you trust that food in your belly or that gear over your head sewn and cooked without your personal supervision? I don't. To trust your kite when not one single manufacturer endorses it makes you a dare devil.... that may be cool, but it is not endorsed or safe... so kite smart please. Jump and glide at your own risk, and please don't let your spouse sue a kite company when you crater. SOME ONE WILL CRATER SOON, time is not on our sides, nor is luck or religion.

Good luck, praise god, and thank the Chinese seamstress for putting that extra stitch in your kite to keep you alive.

Kites are meant to pull, nothing more... anything else belongs on a jackass movie. Take it for what it is have fun with what it isn't and take flying lessons if you want to fly.

Cloud 9 teaches daily at the point.
