Rush Lake??

Postby Emmanuel Pons » Sat Mar 13, 2010 10:55 am

Anyone been there yet?
There is usually a one month window with just enough water in when It can be windsurfed and I don't want to miss it!

Thank you :)

Yup, Checked it out on Thurs 3/11. and.... it's EMPYT, the dirt in the middle is only slightly damp, not even real mud. Sorry. I've been playing in RUSH for almost 30 yrs. and this is the first time I've seen it totally dry this time of year. Been getting less and less water each year, since the flood years but now I'm afraid it's GONE. Good Bye old friend. Looking back at my windsurfing/kitesurfing logs, we've almost always been in it by now. Looks like Ut Lake is the only close game.

Jon
good to hear yoy might be back soon. Thanks for the update. Since I have one of your sweet Ocean Rodeo drys I will be in the water early. I plan on being the first kiter in DCBB, :))) . And of course UTLB Or UTSSB. I like DC and UTSSB for safety this time a year because the wind will bring you on shore.

No Rush Lake! Some of our best high wind days are at Rush. We will miss those south wind nuking days on flat water and the fun crusing afternoons on a north thermal. Hope it is just a temporary deal and not permanent.
