The place was awesome. Its a great place to ride since it feel like you are riding the lake with flatwater and some chop. The lake had three inch of snow on top of the ice. There was other places to ride beside the lake. Places were like 15 mins to 1 hour drives. Did some kiteloop tricks and some boosting with spins with an ease of landing but the landing had ice. So, you would need kneepads. I hit my knees a few time and it was painful. From Salt lake to Georgetown was about 6 hrs drive. I will be going up there if it not going to blow here in utah during the week.

Dean,
It was amazing to me when I read your post about a snowkiting event @ Georgetown Lake, . It does seem like a great place but it is pretty remote by Salt Lake standards. My grandparents were from Phillipsburg (10 miles west). I spent some of my early summers in that area. I am not a kiter but have windsurfed (cold water & gusty but beaurtiful) on Georgetown from Dentons Point (Lodge on So side of the lake) & have also skied at Discovery Basin. It has some mean double blacks if you are a skier. Anyhow its interesting that you have discovered what for me is a little known piece of Montana that is just a treasure.
