Bummer, get it this winter while you can! A major loss for local 'in-town' snowkiting. Also about the dumbest thing a politician could do...typical.... put a giant wind block building and funky rotor directly in front of one of the nations premiere and most consistent paragliding sites. I guess one up for Ikea and local taxes!
Sounds like I moved out of the 'Big Chity" just in time....living at the Point felt like I lived in New Zealand, flying and kiting every single day for years. Now pilot friends tell me that with all the new buildings below the North side, the wind patterns have been disrupted and the flying is not as good as it was in the past. Looks like the south side is going down as well, all in the name of progress.. hmmm.
Man, if they got rid of the buildings and just filled the field with water we would have an Uber Rush for summer kitesurfing. Maybe its not to late to lobby the idea!
