Where to Ride Friday 12/19

It is a Christmas Miracle, one storm after another and wind to boot. Who could ask for anything more...

I am posting Thursday evening because Jake and I are going down early to catch some riding before the storm. Expect wind in the mid to upper teens, maybe low 20's it will be gusty pre-frontal wind. Snow in the afternoon may turn into a whiteout. Friday night, Skyline should get bombed with loads of fresh, light powder. The temps are super low, so the fluff should be extra, low moisture Wasatch premium pow.

PowMow looks rideable as well, but much smaller kites than Skyline. If there is enough snow, Monte Cristo may be good.

PC - there should be wind in PC, but I am not sure about the coverage, take a rock board.

Strawberry, probably not a good bet as on a southwest wind the best spot is the marina and I am not sure about coverage.

Saturday - super cold and super light powder at Skyline. Don't expose any skin or it may get frostbitten. Definitely a day for toe and hand warmers. Expect wind in the mid teens under clearing skies. PowMow looks like strong west winds on Saturday as well. Strawberry may be rideable that day, it really depends on the coverage as the rideable spots are more limited on a west wind, so you may find wind at spots where you can't ride yet due to open water or lack of snow and not enough wind in the spots with snow.
