Where to Ride 12/23 - revised

Postby Kenny » Mon Dec 22, 2008 7:54 pm

The picture for today is more clear than when I looked at it last night. Looks like we have upper level west winds today.

Best bets - Evanston looks like good afternoon wind in the mid-teens. PowMow should be good as long as the snow squalls are not overly powerful and limit visibility. Skyline looks like wind in the 10-15 mph range with snow squalls. I am unsure of surface conditions in Evanston and at PowMow, so if you go please report. Surface at Skyline should be powder/packed powder.

Tomorrow is looking better for most locations with pre-frontal south winds - PC, Rush, PowMow, Evanston look good. Skyline looks like lighter winds.

Stay out of the backcountry with high bordering on extreme avalanche potential, it is not the place to be.
