Ripped off...

Postby Marty Lowe » Fri Jan 02, 2009 9:25 am

Since I bought my sled, I've been following the local sled forum also.

Just a heads up that thieves are prowling the parking lots and breaking into vehicles,
and looking for any quick opportunity to steal anything.
Sounds like they are taking anything they may be able to pawn.
Keep valuables out of sight, keep an eye out for suspisous parking lot prowlers.

I saw Billy prowling the parking lot yesterday. He looked very suspicious. Turns out he was just looking for people to go to lunch, however.

An out of towner set a 12 m SS Rev in a bag next to his car by the roadside parking at the Skyline summit. He went out on a smaller kite and came back to find the kite missing. Only folks nearby were a DOT snowplow, sledders and 2 kids in a snow cave. First kite thievery at Skyline that I am aware of. Maybe a parking lot prowler, or a flying badger.
