board selection?

So looking at my window has me thinking about summer and water kiting in utah(depressing in january for a ski instructor and pro rep, right?) and wondering what boards i should be looking at for water kiting in utah.

I only really have the money to pick up one used board (probably later this spring, skiing and school kill my bank account in the winter) what would you guys reccomend for general all around riding? I'm 6'2 and 190 lbs, have some limited wakeboarding background, and have done some water kiting while living in or visiting florida, Just about staying upwind last time i rode in OCT..

My recommendation would be the Slingshot Glide. You are heavy enough to need this board. I spend 95% of my time on mine. Most riders here have a light wind board in their quiver. If they don't, you can find them on the beach lamenting the fact that they dont have one. It is a must for DC and Utah Lake. Other brands offer similar boards. Make sure it's big, flat and square with straight rails. I'm sure most of the experienced kiters here, big or small, would agree.

I like my crazyfly cruiser pro. truley a one board quiver, if you need one. 136x46. short and fat. it has nice rails that flex in higher winds. It fits in a travel bag. in los barriles i used it in 15 to 35 mile winds. I like it because it surfs like a directional and handle big chop and rides light winds.
dont get me wrong the glide is a great utah board, I here it gets alittle dicey in higherwinds with chop. I also have a spleen door. it is my super light wind stick, not as much fun in higher winds.
Ideally a guy could have three or four boards. so it depends on how many you want or how much you got.
