Linda and Rick, I think one of these would work in Utah! Both allow for all the things we do on the water. The second one doesn't have foot straps, however.

They had the kite version at in Dillion this weekend. Total crap. I hope the wind surfer version is better!

I think that's the Uniboard. I can't imagine that will be better than a standard board on snow. But on ice, it might be okay. The design of the board is mainly for super high wind. Most of them are using 4.5 or similar size sail. I wouldn't want to take the chance of testing the wind chill.
