Snow kiting on Fox News

Snow Kiting was featured in a Fox News clip today apparently, saw it on the front page of yahoo.com and then on the foxnews.com site...

Jason Slezak(sp??) is interviewed..the anchor is something of a tool but it was neat to see snowkiting on a national news station.

Yes, this is a great example of why the news is NOT a good source of information. Don't believe what you read or hear...think for yourself.

That news clip has probably done more damage to the sports growth than anything... made me sick to watch the news casters tear apart something they have never tried... why would anyone pull that lofting video off the net, unless they had nothing to report and they needed some shock value since kids aren't actually flying away in balloons.

Thankfully Slezak pulled it together and legitimized Snowkiting. Fox had called our office in the AM to do the interview.... I am sooo glad we are on west coast time and missed that one. Slezak was up early on the east coast and before he had his coffee these bastards were playing lame clips in the background while the kiter being interviewed had no clue. I'm positive that Slezak did an amazing job and much better than myself.

Mental Note: if ever asked to interview about kiting... ask the reporter what video or images they will use, and if its not a positive bit, WALK AWAY! I recommend all kiters to spam Fox news with their disapproval, and take into consideration all the other news that they get dead wrong.
