Skyline Girls SnowKite Camp was great fun!

Postby Sarah Ranes » Mon Feb 08, 2010 1:00 pm

I just wanted to say thanks, especially to Heather for making this happen. I think she put a huge amount of effort and planning into the camp. She really helped to get me a couple more big steps, towards riding with the kite comfortably. I even made it out into a bit of the Skyline terrain for the first time, and had a blast. Linda had some great success too, and came away smiling at the end of the day. I think she had enough fun to stick with it, and try to keep kiting.

Brian was great support also, he really helped to get things rolling the first day, and helped anyone who needed it. Amanda, came from Chicago, who was also an awesome instructor, with a huge level of patience. Heather turned out to be quite the camp Chef, she managed to keep us all full of snacks and food, which is a tough thing to do in blowing snow. I went home tired, but happy last night, and was so pleased with the whole weekend. Thanks Windzup's

Way to go Sarah, Next summer we'll make room for you at Rufus. The Dark Side is always looking for poleboarder converts.

Me too, in fact, if you like sailing there, wait till you kite there. Those big rolling swells are heaven. I had accident during snowboard lesson 2nd of Dec and really fractured right wrist. 6 weeks in cast, after surgery involving pins, screws, plates and wires. Now in rehab for another 3 more weeks then maybe some fun. Hard only having one hand. But slowing getting better. I'll be back in time for spring winds.

Hey Mo, I asked Heather where the heck you were! We both had a great time, but we both still need a whole bunch of practice. Hope your winter is going well. It would be great to see you....I'll give you a call, and maybe we can hook up for dinner. I'm glad you got out Sunday, I'm sure you tore it up! We hope to get out somewhere next weekend for a bit more practice. Take Care. SR
