its downright toasty as of 4 hrs ago...zero wetsuit needed, water is super high, even Jordanelle is missing the islands...

Erik,

What - you don't want to model your 1980's neon wetsuit for us again?!?!

I was there on Friday. All kiters were wearing full. You could get away with board shorts if you didn't spend any time in the water, but that is not a guarantee at DC. Shorty would probably be okay.

Kenny, ill model it at the beginning of fall, but no I don't want to wear a semi dry suit again! Glad you enjoyed the retro neon color scheme.

DC is much warmer than Jordanelle. I did a tour Sunday, everyone was wearing full suits at JBay, mid day, 75 degrees. Closer to the melt off, higher altitude, just felt colder. Whereas DC same time Sunday was again roasting like a full bar b cue. 2 total windsurfers out at J Bay, same smokin' on and off wind as IB where Jim's wind meter had hellish holes/gusts. When Paul Bradshaw and Judy get tossed over the bars at Charleston, on 5.5's its a wacky day.

Super gusty, as indicated by the width of the band of wind speeds and the fluctuations in wind direction.
