Lindin Beach Thursday 27th

Postby stevemayer » Thu Apr 27, 2006 9:36 pm

did a quick recon to lindin beach and had a great surprise. Showed up to a deserted beach at around 4:30 and had an epic hour session on my 9 waroo (kite) fully powered (small 121 board). Had to rush home so my wife wouldn't know I was there!

Beach update, water comes within 20 feet of the steep bank up to the road, so launch is a bit tight, but as always there was plenty of trach to pile on my kite. water is high so tons of burried nails, but did not touch any. Water was pretty deep, could ride right from the water edge and it was instant knee deep so good to go for wind surfing. The reeds in that little cove made for a perfect 100 yard glass zone for a trick, then back to the chop and hop!

Hope this site works as well for everyone as it has for me in the past. It is 16 minutes from our shop in Draper, but construction may slow you down around rush hour.

Steve,
I must have just missed you at Lindon beach, as I arrived there just before 6pm to a deserted beach. Two years ago the water was out past the reeds, and yesterday halfway out it was already chest deep.
I windsurfed on a 7.4 I picked up cheep at the swap last week and it was nice. At around 7:30, the wind backed off a bit, and it took more effort to get on a plane. A bit late, but first time out for me this season.
I would still be hesitant to go barefoot at Lindon - way too much garbage underwater.
