Pineview 12m

Postby Marty Lowe » Sun May 07, 2006 7:49 pm

Our plans were to windsurf,
I rigged my 7.5 and so did Bob.
Doug rigged his 7m
It looked to up and down,
but Doug went out and slogged, and got a few rides.
I hung around after they left.

Jim stopped by in his boat, as the wind picked up (kinda)
I rigged my 12m Kite around 5,
and rode the puffs,
then floated in the lulls,
till it finally died.
Then Jim picked me up half way down the reservoir.
At Rush, I would have been walking back.
(thanks for the ride, Jim, and Robin)

Les,,, was that you that went out at Cemetary point,
for an out and back ride?

Hey Marty. Ya, I got out at cemetary point after separating some rib cartilage wake boarding on some wind chop. I was underpowered on my 15m (so I think) but have learned alot between snowkiting and a couple trips to rush that helped me keep my kite in the air during lowels. Big improvement over my last year pineview attempts. Still stoked though. I wondered how it was at windsurfer beach. Plenty of white caps.

I have access to a boat now, so if anyone wants to kite on pineview, give me a shout for some boat assisted kiting.

The boat sounds good Les. I am interested but right now I am preparing for a 2 week kayaking trip. Later this summer?
