South Sandy was a serious wave machine Saturday. I managed to get two sessions during the day broken up by lunch and a little yard work. From 11:30 am to 1:30 I sailed 5.5 wound up wishing I would have rigged the 4.6. My son Kirk ventured out for a taste of high wind humility, just handling gear and sail flipping in high wind gave him plenty to think about. Sailed again from 3:00 to 5:45 on the 4.6. The Swell was as big as I have experienced at South Sandy, the “ shore break†offered a new challenge to water starts, I had a blast. My 18 yr old son Lewis came along this time, not to be out done by the younger brother, he faired well and made some progress getting spanked, good stuff.
