3/24 Rush Crew - Zephyr Med Board

About 15 kiters showed up today. If you are reading this, you may very well have been there!

After seeing the wind forecast die down a bit, I decided that it would still be a good idea to see how my body handled kiting on H20 with a waist harness. I showed up and plenty of kiters were already getting after it. The wind was pretty up and down as usual. I pumped 11 and Zephyr and opted for the big kite. Hot Toddie and I went way upwind and enjoyed fairly clean air for a while. Eventually I got cold in a 4/3 with no gloves and headed in. The wind started switching directions in addition to being up and down / gusty. Second session was very short but fun. I knew if I went much more than 2 hours I would be destroyed tonight.

Incidentally, if any of you ever have major surgery and are told that you will only be able to "maybe ski some blue or green runs" or go back to a desk job after a month, or that it may take years to get back to normal, or that you may never perform at your previous levels, feel free to respectfully tell your doctors that they have no idea who they are dealing with. You're a kiter. You ARE different.

It was so nice to hang with a group of hard core lunatics that know how to live. Use it while you've got it.
