Didn't make it to Grants until about 9:30, Ken was there at 8:00, ripping on a 5.7, which worked great until about 11:00. After about an hour lull, Sara showed up... brought some more wind, and spent the afternoon flying around on 6.5 (she is tough to catch!), Ken and I on 6.7 and 7.5. A really fun day at Grants, Ken left about 4:30 after 6-7 hours of sailing, Sara and I dragged ourselves off about 5:30. Kevin arrived just as the wind seem to be coming off. Overall a great day!

Yes a fun Day @ Grant's

It was very pleasant, and nice to see it so full. The last time I was there, which was several years ago, was like a hot tub in a pit. We zoomed around in some pretty gusty wind, that kept us all smiling most of the afernoon. I must say that it is the flatest water, that I have ever sailed on, and requires a lot of jibing. The 6.5 and 106 ltr. board worked well all afternoon.

Grantsville 6/12 -- I arrived too late

Postby Kevin Simmons » Wed Jun 14, 2006 8:01 am

I got about a half dozen very short rides spaced 10 min apart before the wind completely died. Only one ride was long enough to go there and back.
