5/15-22 Brandon Bay Ireland

Postby Ralph Morrison » Thu May 24, 2012 10:24 am

I spent the last week in Brandon Bay. It's a popular destination wavesailing place on the Dingle peninsula. There were riders from many countries there. More windsurfers than kiters, windsurfing is still alive and well in Europe. The conditions weren't the best, but we got to surf, kite and sightsee the whole time. The temperatures were on the cool side but that didn't seem to slow anybody down. It's cloudy every day but the sun would come out at some point during the day. I wouldn't highly recommend it as a surf spot on it's own, but combined with incredible sightseeing, friendly people, good food and Guiness on tap, it's fantastic!

Golfing on a links course. I felt like I was at the British Open.

I tried doing that to Billy and Doubek but they ran when they saw me coming at them with the can of pink spray paint. Maybe next time. Thanks for sharing your vacation photos with us.
