Arrived a bit before 6. Several peeps out on 13m and bigger. I was just powered(but nothing extra) on 11 from 6:30-8. At 8 the wind promptly shut off.
Kited over toward SSB where I could see a few kites flying. the wind got lighter as I approached so I aborted mission and blasted back to ULLB.

Good sesh!
I tried for a light wind ride after the wind had dialed back. Then it shut off entirely and I was left swimming back in with my kite. Everyone left and the wind turned back on at dusk (strongest of the night). So I got a nice solo session. One kiter car witnessed.
There was a pretty sweet forest fire going on directly northwest of west mountain that was visible while we were kiting. Anyone else notice?
